Happy 2009!
I am going to be logging my meals this month here at the blog. All in the name of accountability.... Because.... drum-roll please..... My daughter, now mother of 2 toddlers, is joining me in the low-carb lifestyle!!! And naturally, I want to be a good example.

DINNER
7 oz. filet mignon, grilled, with 1 c. Southern green beans (plus onions and bacon bits and lots of butter)
WEAK MOMENT
Instant Heavenly Mousse
Will restart induction tomorrow, since artificial sweeteners are NOT included.
DAILY TOTALS
SUPPLEMENTS: Glucosamine, CoQ10, EFA, Multi, & Potassium
WATER
Only about 48 ounces before coffee, and that was about the same amount. Those who scorn caffeine would say that drinking the same amount just cancels each other out and so my real water intake for the day was zip. I say, I love my caffeine, I gave it up once for five miserable weeks and it didn't help with a THING, besides my bitchiness, so I am keeping it, and you can just mind your own business! I used to drink a good 5 liters of water per day, minimum, and I know I can get back up to that again with a little effort (and that my energy level will go up accordingly once I do!)
Until tomorrow ~ Tomorrow is another day - always!!

Hi, Karen, great that your daughter is joining you - what a nice example for the granchildren!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering, though, how you get only 99.8 calories out of 6 Tablespoons of cream (in your Morning Coffee Ritual). If I recall correctly, 6 T. of cream is about 300 calories, 6 T. of half-and-half would be about 180 calories. Then there's MimicCreme, which might be what you are referring to - only 10 Calories per tablespoon, which would fit in nicely to your nutritional analysis.
Just wondering....I love cream, but stay pretty far away due to the caloric content.
LOL, that is too funny, I just caught the error and came here to adjust my entry! Which I'd assumed no one would have even read. Glad to know someone's actually out there.
ReplyDeleteI don't really use 6 Tb per day, that was a typo :P. The analysis is based on 2.5 Tb. of table cream (available in Colo. from Meadow Gold - I love this stuff, it's heavier than HnH but not oily like heavy cream) and 5 cups brewed coffee (Boyer's Denver Blend). I was having trouble with my software program (DietPro 2005) and couldn't get back into it for a whole day. Each time I close it now I wonder if it will open again... :P {Due to me using Vista 64-bit with this old program. If you use XP, I HIGHLY recommend it,still.)
THANKS FOR KEEPING ME ON MY TOES!
